How to install the electromagnetic flowmeter
The electromagnetic flowmeter is a flowmeter that performs flow measurement according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. The advantage is that the pressure loss is extremely small and the measurable flow range is large. The applicable industrial pipe diameter range is wide, up to 3m, the output signal and the measured flow rate are linear, the accuracy is high, and the conductivity can be measured ≥5μs/cm. Acid, alkali, salt solution, water, sewage, corrosive liquids, and fluid flows of mud, slurry, pulp, and the like. But it can't measure the flow of gas, steam, and pure water.
Because of the advantages of electromagnetic flowmeters, the number of enterprises using electromagnetic flowmeters has increased. How to install electromagnetic flowmeters, what kind of electromagnetic flowmeter installation requirements can make it better, more accurate and safer to use.
The installation of the electromagnetic flowmeter is very important. In fact, how to make the electromagnetic flowmeter better ground during installation is also a very important issue. In this regard, we should pay attention to the following issues when installing the electromagnetic flowmeter:
1) The ground of the sensor and converter must be at the same potential as the measured medium.
2) Zero the ground potential to reduce external interference. Since the general process pipes are all metal pipes and they are all grounded, this requirement is relatively easy to complete, but if the external electromagnetic interference is relatively large, then the grounding setting should be reset, and the grounding wire should be larger than 5mm2. Multi-strand copper wire can only be connected to the motor or common ground to avoid leakage current interference.
3) When the sensor is installed on the metal pipe , the inner wall of the metal pipe should not have insulating coating .
4) When installing on plastic pipes or pipes with insulation lining, the sensor must equiped with grounding ring, or grounding flange or short pipe with grounding electrode at both ends .
5) The flow medium in the pipeline is short-circuited to the earth and has zero potential. Otherwise, the electromagnetic flowmeter cannot work normally.
